Zach's Yo Gabba Gabba Birthday Party!

Posted By mstrauss on Jun 9, 2010 at 8:31AM

For my sons second birthday party this year, we did a Yo Gabba Gabba theme. Mostly, we just did a big playdate in the playroom of our apartment building, but the main event was the cakes that I actually made myself. I couldn't believe how well they came out and how yummy they were (thank you Duncan Hines vanilla and yellow cake mixes and frosting). Each cake had one layer each of vanilla and yellow cake with vanilla frosting in the center and vanilla mixed with yellow food coloring on the outside. The eyes are chocolate and vanilla frosting. The ears and top are powdered donuts and the antennas are cookies, all stuck to the cake with toothpicks. I kept the cakes in the fridge to let them set and they tasted so good cold!
